The initial idea

In the year 2014 – after the annexation of Crimea and the attacks on the regions of Donetzk and Luhansk – in the middle of all that trouble, the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra under their conductor Hobart Earle published a flashmob from the Odessa Fishmarket. They performed the theme of Ludwig van Beethoven´s Ode to Joy – which is also the European Anthem. A very strong statement. They told with the music: Look, Europe, we are here! We love you and we love your culture. We want to be seen by you.

After 2015 it seemed to be forgotten – until now. The russian dictator started an overall attack on innocent Ukraine. Now we could not stay quiet any longer. To show solidarity with the attacked Ukraine. Show that we belong together.
